Brother of Jacob; born at Mannheim. He also studied the piano underSchnyder von Wartensee at Frankfort, where he lived as a teacher and pianist, and was an active musical influence in that place. He published a sonata and other pieces for his instrument, mostly in a poetic vein; also a serenade for cello and piano.
