Neuseidler, Hans


Hans Neuseidler was one of a family of German lutenists. He was born in Presburg, date unknown, and spent the greater part of his life in Nuremburg. Aside from appearing as lutenist he was a manufacturer of his instrument and author of works on the subject of lute playing. He also published arrangements of preludes, motets, fantasias, songs and dances for the lute. His work on lute playing is important for the history of harmony. Hans Neuseidler died in Nuremberg in 1563.
