Heubner, Konrad

1860-

Talented composer of overtures, symphony in A, quintet for piano, two violins, viola and cello, piano and violin sonata, piano trio, songs, etc. Heubner was born in Dresden, and received his early education at the Dresden Kreuzschule. For two years he was a pupil at the Leipzic Conservatory and of the University under Riemann. Studied with Nottebohm in Vienna, and in 1881 with Wullner Nicode and Blassmann at Dresden. He was conductor of the Singakademie at Liegnitz, and in 1884 second conductor of the Singakademie of Berlin. He succeeded Raphael Maszkowski as director of the Musical Society and of the Conservatory of Coblentz.
