Zanardini, Angelo
1820-1893
Italian librettist; born in Venice and died in Milan. He produced the words and music of the opera Amleto in 1854. He translated many foreign librettos, among which were Wagner s, and wrote the librettos for Ponchielli's II Figliuol Prodigo, Massenet's Herodiade, Mancinelli's Ispra di Provenza, Catalani's Dejanice, Domeniceti's Il Lago delle Fate.
