Seifert, Uso

German composer and author of instructive works; born at Romhild, Thuringia. A pupil of Wüllner, Blassmann, Nicode and Rischbeiter at the Dresden Conservatory, and at present an instructor at that institution and organist of the Reformed Church of Dresden. Seifert has composed pianopieces, including a Polonaise; a Grand Study, Ohne Rast, ohne Ruh; also songs. Seifert has made himself well known by a popular method for piano, published in 1893, which has een widely used. He has edited classic instructive works.
