Reinhold, Hugo
1854-
Austrian pianist and composer; born in Vienna; was a choir-boy in the Imperial Chapel, and studied there at the Conservatory from 1868 to 1874 as an endowed pupil, under Bruckner, Epstein and Dessoff, winning a silver medal. Since 1895 he has been professor of piano at the Vienna Conservatory. His compositions include a suite for piano and strings, and a prelude, minuet, and fugue for string orchestra; also a string quartet; and other orchestral and chamber-music; many piano-pieces; and songs.
