Lotto, Isidor
1840-
Violinist; born in Warsaw. He entered the Paris Conservatory, where he studied violin under Massart, and composition under Reber. His talent soon placed him among the best violinists of the day, and he made extended concert tours. In 1862 he was appointed chamber musician and violin soloist to the Grand Duke of SaxeWeimar; and in 1872 he became an instructor at the Strasburg Conservatory. He is now teaching at the Warsaw Conservatory. He has published some brilliant violin compositions.
