Donati, Ignatio


A composer and organist, who was born at Castelmaggiore, near Cremona, Italy, and who belonged to the Lombard School of Composition. In 1619 he was chapelmaster of the Academy of St. Spirito, Ferrara, and from 1633, master of the Milan Cathedral. He published ecclesiastical concertos; motets; madrigals; and two volumes of masses.
